The Pre-Consult

We want to make the most efficient use of our clients' time, even during a first consult. We do this with a "pre-consult" either in person (if you're on our route) or over the phone.  In this session, we'll get a starting idea about your dreams and needs. This lets us aim straight at a solution when we meet face to face for the consult. We also provide an overview of how we work with clients.

Information we're looking for:  

• Why you want to have a new / refurbished web site.
• What you want the site to achieve.
  
• How you see the site accomplishing this.
  
• What your competitors are doing with their websites.
• What other things you would like your website to do.
  
• How much work you are willing to do to keep the site updated.
  

When we ask questions such as, "What are your objectives for the site?" and "How will you market the site?" you'll realize that the website site goals need to be very clear at the start.  You don't want to throw your money away on the wrong kind of site for your business, and we make sure you don't.

What we do next

With the results of the pre-consult, we know what points to hit when we brainstorm with you during your design consult.  If we don't think you're ready for a website yet, we'll tell you straight --- and suggest good, inexpensive people you can go to for brand development, logo design, or even business planning.

If you want us to be a one stop shop for you, we will --- we know sometimes it's hard to trust many different people at the same time, or to be sure they'll all work together well.  However, we don't claim to be the best at everything. We would rather our clients come to us with the right raw materials so we can do what we do best. That's why we're happy to make referrals: so you can make sure the best people are watching over each aspect of your marketing plan.
